Our kids want to come back every year to see the friends they have made a Junaluska. They always grow spiritually and we have special fun together as a family. It is always a great time for everyone, both when the kids were young and even now with high school and college students. Each of us is impacted spiritually and Jill and I have learn to be an even better couple after 22 years.

Our family trip to Lake Junaluska is our most anticipated family event of the year.  It took us about 2 years to work up the courage to go the first time but now we could not imagine ending our summer any other way.   2008 will be our 5^th year in a row and our experiences continue to become richer as our relationships with special friends are renewed and strengthened.  It is hard to explain the feeling you get when you are surrounded by the body of Christ for five days.  The kids enjoy every minute and my wife relaxes in a way that only happens when we come back to that special place that we credit for saving our marriage.  I cannot encourage people enough to give this family conference a chance.  You have nothing to loose except a wonderful, fun, spiritually enriching, family tradition that will wish your parents had started long ago.  The only down side we have found is having to saying good bye to everyone on the last day.  Then on the drive home we start looking forward to coming back the next time.
